CANTILEVERING BOXES

Park City development is situated on the River Moskva, north of Kutuzovsky Prospekt.

KPF’s master plan proposes a mix of commercial, residential and retail uses.

The design of the three residential towers recede in height from the commercial centre of the development in the West to the Hotel Ukraine to the East whilst providing the programmatic requirements of the brief and maintaining their granted densities. Each given footprint have been reduced slightly and to maintain areas have been added suspended large cantilevered sections off these slender cores. The siting of the large can- tilevers higher up on the tower shafts both delivers the possibility of larger apartments where the views and thus desirability is increased, whilst opening up the air space and views toward the ground.
