Between Then And Now – AGroup Exhibition on Time, Body and Memory

Join us in person for a specially curated inspiring group exhibition by fifteen MA and PhD students at the prestigious Royal College of Art.

Event and Exhibition curated by Alex In Artyland.

This exhibition is centred on the theme of time, conceived as a series of temporal domains, inviting visitors to navigate between the slippery linkage of memories, narratives, and lived experiences. Bringing together works in painting, sculpture, video, and performance, the exhibition aims to explore how time is seen, felt, and remembered, rather than measured or fixed.

Our artists engage with memory, body, identity, culture, patience, and slowness. Many works emphasize subtle gestures, everyday repetition, and material transformation, encouraging viewers to slow down and focus on the delicate shifts in texture, duration, and atmosphere. Rather than presenting time as linear, the exhibition curates a layered and entangled view on temporality, where personal histories intersect with collective narratives.

Through this temporal dialogue, the exhibition reflects on
how moments persist, overlap, and shape both individual and group
consciousness.
